Low Engine Oil Pressure
Engine oil pressure has dropped below minimum safe level. This critical fault triggers shutdown to prevent bearing damage and engine seizure. Do not restart until oil pressure issue is diagnosed and resolved.

Perkins recommends 15W-40 multigrade diesel engine oil meeting API CJ-4 or CK-4 specification. In very cold climates, 10W-30 may be specified. Always check your manual.
Normal operating oil pressure is typically 40-60 PSI (2.8-4.1 bar) at operating temperature. Idle pressure may be lower (15-25 PSI). Shutdown occurs below 10-15 PSI.
